PRICE
PeFSSED Rural Institute for Computer Education
Empowering village youth through Information Technology skills.
In rural India, the distance between a student and a computer is kilometers — PRICE reduces that distance by bringing computers to villages.
Computer Centre in Every Village.
Future for Every Child.
"Knowledge is power. Computer education is a gateway to knowledge. PRICE was born from the belief that geography should never determine destiny."
In rural and remote areas, the absence of computer education severely limits the employability of young people. PRICE was PeFSSED’s answer — establishing community computer education centres directly inside villages, eliminating the need to travel to distant towns.
Starting with Marthapur in Dhenkanal (Odisha) district in 2008, PRICE grew to include centres at Sujanpur, Jajpur (Odisha), Eranch, Cuttack (Odisha), Aswyaniya, Azamgarh (UP), and Deogaon, Dhenkanal (Odisha) . Currently two of them are operational — each one a beacon of opportunity in its community.

Where PRICE Came Alive
Marthapur
Dhenkanal, Odisha · Est. 2008The first PRICE centre brought computer education to a village that had never seen a classroom with screens. Students learned MS Office, internet basics and digital literacy — skills that transformed their employment prospects overnight.
Sujanpur
Jajpur, Odisha · Est. 2009The second PRICE centre immediately followed the first — it became a community institution. Likewise the first, it hosted the PRICE Cup cricket tournaments. It had annual sports and cultural events and prize ceremonies; and it drew students from surrounding villages.
The idea behind PRICE is simple — technology and opportunity need to reach villages, not wait for villages to reach them.
