“It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.” (Article 51A(h), Fundamental Duties, The Constitution of India)

This initiative is in line with our above-mentioned fundamental duty. Studying science does not automatically get one to have scientific temper. For instance, scientists from Indian Space Research Organization officially, performing special poojas at the Tirupati Temple with satellite prototypes, for the success of the launch can be considered contrary to scientific temper. The aim of the initiative to conduct various activities to develop inquisitiveness among students and citizens so that all would be courageous to question age-old prejudices and exploitative and harmful practices.
