There are many schools in India, particularly where poor families’ children study, lack resources―human, financial, and infrastructural. Due to the dearth of resources, these schools fall short of fulfilling the responsibilities related to basic curricular activities, let alone any additional responsibilities. Child talent enhancement initiative is an attempt to develop all-round personalities of children through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Under this initiative all possible co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are undertaken in these under-privileged schools. This also includes exposure visits and educational tours of school children.

Under this initiative we conduct activities under different themes: environment, science, communication, team-building, cultural, critical thinking, and society and health. The different skill-set these activities tend to improve are: creative writing and language skill, drawing and painting, pencil sketch skill, music, dance, song, dramatics skill, math and reasoning scientific skill, public speaking skill and general awareness skill. Typically, these activities are conducted in weekends so that a lot of professionals can participate. Also the activities include celebration of different days of significance such as: Jun 5 (World Environment Day), Aug 15 (Independence Day), Sep 5 (Teacher’s day), Oct 2 (M K Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Sashti’s birth days), Nov 14 (Children’s day), Dec 10 (Human Rights Day), Jan 26 (Republic Day), Feb 28 (National Science Day), Apr 7 (World Health Day), etc.
